You may have noticed the barriers blocking the fire lane in front of the fountain.  That is because it is a FIRE lane.  A fire lane is required by law to be kept clear so that a fire truck can park there in case of emergency.  With five commercial kitchens all in wood buildings, fire safety is something Charlotte’s Fire Marshal takes very seriously.   It’s not just customers who like the convenience of pulling right up to the curb, we’ve caught employees taking advantage of the opportunity to park all the way up on the sidewalk.   We have been warned and so we politely ask that you do not park in the fire lane.  Thank You for your consideration!
